Day: July 20, 2026

$IREN ended the day up nearly 20% as the global shortage of AI compute pushes customers to prepay nearly half the GPU cost to secure capacity before deployment.

IREN then provides the power, data centers, networking, deployment, operations and cloud platform needed to bring that

"The customer now helps pay for the hardware, while $IREN provides the power, the data centers, and the cloud platform."

Both sides are now aligned on getting capacity online, and the neo-cloud funding treadmill starts to break.

$NVDA, $AMD, $AVGO and custom hyperscaler chips will compete for years in the AI race but nearly all will still depend on $TSM to manufacture their chips.

The quarter was excellent but the market wanted another major estimate reset and instead got strong revenue guidance

We're seeing a pattern across semiconductor earnings where strong reports don't necessarily translate to positive price movement.

" $TSM delivered excellence, but it didn't introduce any kind of obvious new catalyst." -@StockSavvyShay

HPC revenue grew 20% and now makes up 66% of the business. The purest manufacturing play on AI.
